[PostCard] Hold Tight

I am a bit worried for a friend: the last time I was in touch with her she seemed to be on an emotional roller coaster, and several weeks after that she does not answer when I try to contact her. I am always afraid to intrude in the private life of others (and hers above all), but I thought that making her this postcard would encourage her to "hold tight".

[Glass Etching] Prizes for "Educ" Track of "Torneo Universitario de Apps" (TUApp) 2015, in Valparaiso

I made 6 prizes for the "Educ" track of the "Torneo Universitario de Apps" (TUApp) which will occur in Valparaiso the 1,2 and 3rd of December.

I mostly designed on paper a Title, which I reproduced on each glass more or less identically, and personalized each glass with a distinct owl (symbol of wisdom and traditionally associated with educational projects, which I had drawn for my Video Classes project before the creation of Duo Lingo with a similar theme. You can see below the original design with a sharpie on the glasses, before etching:

TNT and Owl on cutting board

My grand mother eats a lots of vegetables, so I made her a cutting board. I had already etched her portrait on a glass with doves, from an old picture of her in the garden of my parents. This time I decided to go for an owl, symbol of wisdom.

You can see the evolution of the drawing: first the general forms, then adding the details such as the belt and the decorations of the dress.

I enlarged a lot the eyes in the end, both to insist on the chibi aspect and to increase the similarity with the owl.

My grand mother loved her present! She promised to use it and I promised to make another one when this one will be damaged!!!

TNT and wise owl

I would like to draw some pedagogical comic strips with TNT, but I think I would need her to interact with another character, for one to teach the other. After trying to draw aliens (more on this later), I thought about trying an owl, symbol of wisdom. Here is a first sketch.
